Strange thing... I received an invitation to "audition" for a $AUS 6,000 possible job tonight... turned it down... and I feel quite happy about it.

Why?Because for most of my adult life, I have been shunted sideways into unwanted semi-careers where "transferable skills" inherited from my bioscience education could be applied in the chemical sphere, and frankly, I have long since had enough of it. Nowadays I would sooner be unemployed than tolerating this shit.

So when someone comes to me like this saying they are impressed with my past voice work (which makes no sense - there is no mention of this at the website concerned), my attitude is: "Thanks, but no thanks." I have had too many occasions where people have seen some credential of mine and read too much meaning into it. No more, thank you. I have my voice work interests and if yours do not align with mine, you know where the door is.
